As a mature single lady renovating a property I couldn’t have chosen better than picking Mike. He is exceptionally skilled at what he does, experienced enough to tackle problems as they arose eg re-siting washing machine due to discovery of a lead mains water pipe. His advice and eye for detail meant the end result was beyond my expectations. He is a very personable individual, patient, courteous and respectful of being in someone’s home – used groundsheets, protective plastic floor coverings, tidying up/hoovering at the end of each day. I would use him again without hesitation.
I trusted Mike from our initial introduction. He discussed the design ,listened to my comments and we agreed on the work to be done . I was not on site, but Mike always kept me informed by email, with photos of the work as it progressed. I am really delighted with my new kitchen. Mike and Claire were the perfect work team. They cleared our old bathroom suite and tiling, levelled the floor, tiled the bathroom, fitted an inset cupboard and fitted a complete shower room. They were incredibly tidy and considerate and the craftsmanship is second to none. An absolutely beautiful job, so pleased and would highly recommend them. (I’m saving up to have the other bathroom done!)

We were not looking forward to the upheaval that a bathroom refit could cause, but with Mike and Claire the whole experience became a pleasure. We were so pleased with the tidiness of the house during the work. The bathroom was finished on schedule and we were impressed with attention to detail. We decided to renew our bathroom, ensuite and cloakroom and have them installed in one go. A daunting thought for a couple of OAPs. However, we needed have worried. We found Mike through a recommendation from Bathworks and he did not disappoint. He is very professional, takes a pride in his work and, to our relief, cleared up his tools and hoovered up every evening. Would thoroughly recommend him.

We are really pleased with our new hob. Mike arrived spot on time and wasted no time in starting his part of the job. He removed the old gas hob and when he encountered some unexpected work to be done, requiring cutting of the existing housing, he simply got on with it – no fuss. Everything was left neat and tidy. This was the second bathroom refurbishment Mike of HPS completed for us. We could not have been more pleased with this and the previous installation. It’s rare to find a service that exceeds expectations in every aspect: the quality of workmanship, professional attitude and extremely helpful and positive approach.
We were very impressed with Mike and Claire their workmanship was of a very high standard. Their organising skills were also excellent, ensuring all other trades, electricians, plasterer, and plumber were scheduled to follow one another. Claire always left the kitchen clean and tidy during the time they were here. A very lovely couple would highly recommended them.
